What does DRS Digital Registry Systems do?

It captures names, addresses, etc. on a touch screen interface at any type of event and can be used in any industry. The file is then transferred to our secured servers where the information is saved in a Microsoft Excel format. From this file the fulfillment process begins. An edited digital file is provided and the data can be used to print a wide variety of materials as well as retaining readable contact information for future uses.

What benefit is the DRS Registry System to my funeral home?
It gives your funeral home an opportunity to provide families with the visitor’s names, addresses and e-mail in a readable format. The printed materials include a registry book, acknowledgments, mailing envelopes, spread sheet for easy reference, and e-mail addresses if desired. It can be part of your funeral home services to provide a service that “goes the extra mile” to help families in time of need before, during, and after the service. By providing them a way to quickly and easily send acknowledgements to those who showed support. You can also add your logo to the home page on the screen for continued name recognition as visitors register.

Do I need an Internet connection to use the system?

No. You can use The DRS Digital Registry System without and internet connection, (internet connection is recommended) however to transfer the information from the kiosk to our servers, you will need to be connected to the internet. No one else can see the information. The only time you would need the Internet connection would be for remote information setup, technical support, or to download updates to your kiosk.  

What are my costs?

There is the one-time purchase cost per kiosk. The price will include the state tax & setup. The price of the kiosk is the price of the equipment only.  There are no reoccurring costs or annual fees for software development, upgrades and tech support. Printing charges are included in each individual service fee depending on the package selected. An average funeral home can be billed monthly or bi-weekly depending on preference.

Can I return the kiosk for a refund if I decide I can’t use it?

Yes, the kiosk can be returned and a prorated refund will be issued.  

How is the monthly fee calculated?

The fee is calculated by taking the total number of services the DRS Digital Registry Systems kiosk used for the month. 

Do I have any extra print charges on large events?

An average visitation is approximately 125 visitors signed in. DRS will run an additional 20% of additional acknowledgements and envelopes for gifts sent to the home. However, anything over 250 acknowledgements and envelopes, additional charges will be applied. An order form can be made available if the family would like to order additional acknowledgments and envelopes after the original order has been printed and delivered. Additional charges will apply. This can also be handled by the funeral home.

If I choose to do printing myself, how do we get trained to use the software?

When you purchase the equipment training is always provided. DRS technical support will provide verbal instructions as well as written. Once the information is transferred from our portal to our servers it is in excel format. We can provide you with access to these files. You will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office components such as Excel and Word and the mail merge features of those programs.

Can we continue to use our current registry book and acknowledgements with the touch screen system?

The DRS system is designed to capture names and addresses in a format that you can use with ANY of your printed materials. You use the blank book pages rather than the lined pages. If you provide labels, we recommend you use the clear labels so they will work with any color envelopes you are using. 

Can we select our finish on the wood finish on the kiosk to match the wood in our funeral home?

Yes. Each kiosk is custom made so you can select the color of finish.
